Publication Ethics

Frontiers in Business and Finance (FBF) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal follows the guidelines and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing developed by COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, and WAME.

FBF ensures that all published research follows principles of honesty, transparency, accountability, and responsible scholarly communication.

COPE Guidelines and Ethical Standards:

FBF follows the ethical principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for editors, reviewers, and authors. The journal applies COPE procedures for handling cases related to plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, authorship disputes, conflicts of interest, corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.

Responsibilities of Authors:

Authors must submit original and unpublished research work. Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy of data, proper acknowledgment of sources, appropriate authorship contribution, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and reporting any errors discovered after publication.

Authors must avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, and unethical research practices.

Responsibilities of Reviewers:

Reviewers must provide objective, unbiased, and confidential evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers should identify ethical concerns, plagiarism, methodological issues, and conflicts of interest during the review process.

Responsibilities of Editors:

Editors are responsible for ensuring fair, transparent, and independent editorial decisions. Editors evaluate manuscripts based on academic quality, originality, and relevance without discrimination.

Editors follow COPE procedures for handling complaints, appeals, corrections, and retractions.

Plagiarism, Fabrication, and Research Misconduct:

FBF maintains a strict policy against all forms of research misconduct, including:

All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts involving serious ethical violations may be rejected or retracted according to COPE recommendations.

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that may influence the publication process. The journal ensures that conflicts of interest are properly managed to maintain editorial independence.

Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern:

FBF follows COPE guidelines for publishing corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern. If significant errors or ethical violations are identified after publication, appropriate actions will be taken to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record

Complaints and Appeals:

FBF provides a transparent mechanism for authors and readers to submit complaints or appeals regarding editorial decisions, ethical concerns, or publication issues. All complaints are investigated fairly, confidentially, and according to established ethical procedures.
