Plagiarism Policy

Frontiers in Business and Finance (FBF) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published research. The journal follows a strict policy against plagiarism, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct.

Plagiarism Screening:

All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process.

The journal follows an acceptable similarity limit of below 15% (excluding references and properly cited quotations). Manuscripts exceeding this limit may be returned for revision or rejected.

Types of Plagiarism:

FBF considers the following practices as plagiarism:

  • Copying text, ideas, data, or results without proper acknowledgment.
  • Self-plagiarism or reuse of previously published work without citation.
  • Duplicate or redundant publication.
  • Misrepresentation of sources or research findings.

Handling Plagiarism Cases:

If plagiarism is detected before publication, the manuscript may be rejected or returned to authors for correction.

If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions according to COPE guidelines.

Author Responsibilities:

Authors must ensure that their submissions are original, properly referenced, and free from any form of academic misconduct. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for copyrighted materials and providing accurate citations.

Appeals and Complaints:

Authors have the right to appeal plagiarism-related decisions. All appeals and complaints are reviewed fairly and confidentially by the editorial team.
